The goal of the Zanesville Metropolitan Housing Authority is the same as the Department
of Housing and Urban Development: To promote adequate and affordable housing, economic
opportunity and a suitable living environment free from discrimination.
The mission of the Zanesville Metropolitan Housing Authority is to be a leader in
providing affordable housing for very low, low, and moderate-income persons through
effective management and wise stewardship of public funds and partnerships with
our residents and others to enhance the quality of life in our communities. |

The Zanesville Metropolitan Housing Authority is governed by a five (5) member Board
of Commissioners. These Board members are appointed for a five year term and are
not compensated for their services. The Mayor of Zanesville appoints two commissioners,
Muskingum County Commissioners appoints one commissioner, Muskingum County Common
Pleas Court appoints one commissioner, and the Muskingum County Probate Court appoints
one commissioner. One of the appointed Board of Commissioners is a resident of the
Zanesville Metropolitan Housing Authority community. |
